250 YEARS OF
ACTIVE CITIZENSHIP,
SHARED THROUGH SONG

A woman with dark hair and earrings singing passionately at a microphone on stage, wearing a maroon hat and black dressed, in a performance setting with warm lighting.

Since George Washington took office in 1783, writing letters to the President has provided citizens of all ages, political parties and backgrounds an outlet to express their most personal concerns, hopes and dreams. In the lead up to the midterm elections 2026 and at a moment when civic engagement feels more important than ever, Letters To The President is a concert celebration of speaking truth to power and a call to action in defense of democracy.

The letters in this show come from farmers, soldiers, mothers, activists and ordinary Americans who all wrote to power because they believed their voices mattered. Now, with songs written by some of musical theatre’s most exciting composers, these letters come to life through music.
